Beaufort County Committee of 100 November 2024 Luncheon Information King Chicken – Thursday, November 7, 2024. Our guest speaker will be Sam Singleton, Transportation Planner, Mid-East Commission and Director, Mid-East Rural Planning Organization.

The Committee of 100 is a non-profit corporation certified as a 501(c)(3) charity by the IRS. Our mission is to improve job opportunities for Beaufort County.

Beaufort County Committee of 100 is a private, non-profit organization of community and business leaders committed to improving Beaufort County. The organization supports Beaufort County Economic Development efforts in retaining existing business and growing and attracting new business. The Committee of 100 was chartered in 1985 and since then has been involved in many Beaufort County projects that have led to new development and new jobs. (All contributions to the Committee of 100 are fully tax-deductible). As a private organization, the Committee is able to respond more quickly to different needs of a company interested in expanding or locating in Beaufort County than County or City government. The Committee also provides leadership in tackling issues in our community relative to economic development.


The Committee of 100 holds a one-hour membership luncheon the first Thursday of each month at the King Chicken at noon. Lunch is served at a cost of $10.00 per person for members. The public is invited, and lunch cost is $15.00 per person for non-members. Current members attend the oyster roast at no charge. Events are not mandatory to attend.
