What Are Our Goals?
Beaufort County has experienced unemployment as high as 13.8%. As of June 2025, Beaufort County’s unemployment rate is 3.8%. The Committee’s primary goal is to attract manufacturing facilities and large commercial development in order to increase job opportunities in Beaufort County.
What Does the Committee of 100 Do?
The Committee of 100 assists Beaufort County Economic Development in both leadership and financial support. We provide leadership by combining the voices of those who understand and appreciate the benefits that economic development brings. We provide financial support by funding activities that cannot or should not be funded by local government. For example, the Committee has acquired industrial buildings and leased them to manufacturing companies.
Membership Levels
Please consider becoming a sponsor of the Beaufort County Committee of 100. Get ready to stand out! As a Sponsor, your company’s name will be prominently displayed at the annual Committee of 100 oyster roast and on the Committee’s website. You’ll receive a custom name tag at check-in for the oyster roast. Along with this exposure for your company, each sponsorship also includes one-year memberships. All contributions to the Committee are tax-deductible. Our Tax ID number is: 58-1635412.
Executive - Individual Membership
$100.00 minimum contribution – includes 1-year individual membership to the Committee.

Beaufort Club
$5,000 minimum contribution – includes ten (10) 1-year individual memberships to the Committee, along with prominent display of your company’s name in all written materials and at Committee functions.

$2,500 minimum contribution – includes eight (8) 1- year individual memberships to the Committee, along with prominent display of your company’s name in all written materials and at Committee functions.

Members Commitee of 100 Luncheon
The Committee of 100 holds a one-hour membership luncheon the first Thursday of each month at King Chicken at noon. Lunch is served and the cost is $10.00 for members.
